Your Trusted Home Inspection Service

Our Top Priorities

Your Safety: I never understood "worry" until parenting 2 young boys. I inspect every home as if my family and I will be buying. The report we provide highlights potential concerns along with useful information about how you can make your home safer. Some of these recommendations are as simple as the presence of carbon monoxide detectors, child safety locks on windows, anti-tip devices on ovens and other similar concerns. In accordance with NC Home Inspector's Licensure Board standards, we also assess more serious safety concerns such as proper venting of appliances, visible structural issues, proper safety controls, etc. Most people spend a majority of their lives in their homes, and this is why I put safety at the top of my list.

Functionality: Does the HVAC work? Are there cracks in the foundation? When you shower, is the water hot, and does it drain properly?........ These are some examples of things that we test for, in the simplest of terms. Look at us as your Primary Care Doctor. We take a look at the house as a whole and do our best to inform you of the home's condition and point out issues that may be a problem in the future. We may recommend specialists to evaluate and repair as necessary. It is certain that things are going to have to be replaced/repaired in the home eventually. State of the art tools and a meticulous checklist help us discover as many of these concerns as possible before they become major issues. Our reports also provide useful information on maintenance and ways to minimize future problems.

Your Wallet: This is a BIG one, even though it is listed third. For most people, purchasing a home is the biggest purchase of your life. Our competitively-priced reports are written with intentions of putting the buyer at an advantage in a real estate transaction. In a market where inventory is low and prices are high, you deserve the best deal possible as a buyer. Use our report as a tool to save money by presenting the findings to the sellers in a neat, easy-to-follow pdf summary. From the seller's side, pre-listing inspections are also a great way to identify fixable issues prior to listing. The cost of our inspection services can be a small fraction compared to the amount of money that we could save you!

I take pride in conducting thorough inspections in an ethical manner. I am licensed, insured, reliable, easy to work with, and make the entire process easy by using top of the line software.

Why Use Us?

American Home Inspectors Training Certified Inspector

Matt Marvin, AHIT certified and NC HILB license #5594/MLS #110727, will be your lead inspector on every inspection presenting the results in a personable and professional manner. This is an advantage in comparison to larger companies because there are no surprises as to who will show up. Matt has many years experience in restoration, remodeling, and customer service. He has performed a number of inspections, and carries the skills and diligence required to identify the trouble spots in your future home or the home you are selling. We walk every accessible roof and use drones or camera extension poles to get a view of the ones that we can not. We also use thermal imaging on every home inspection.  This can sometimes help spot problems that cannot normally be seen with the naked eye, such as leaks behind walls and overheating systems or components.

Testimonials

Matt inspected my new house recently, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about things I asked about. He did a thorough report, and issued the report the same day. Everything was clearly explained and described. Thanks, Matt, for getting me started on the right foot in my new house!
